On November 4, 2020 people will be able to vote for the new president of the United States. We still have a month till the election so this will give Americans enough time to decide who they are voting for. There are two people running in this year’s 2020 election, and there are also only two parties competing this year.  For the Republican Party the main candidate running is Donald Trump, who was already our president these last four years. If he wins the election this year, this will be his last years in the presidency. The Democratic Party has Joe Biden running for the main position of president. Joe Biden has been running for the role of president since 1988. He ran again for the Democratic party in 2008 and lost, but in 2020 he won the Democratic nomination allowing him to run for president in the 2020 election. This year’s election is considered a more intense election due to the fact that there is the coronavirus pandemic, and other national issues.
