The Kings Academy Cross Country team has worked hard to qualify for districts. With athletes as young as 8th grade they have only been getting better. During their season, the boys beat 12 other schools at one meet, and this being the girl’s 2nd time advancing to districts. Isabella Krell states that they were “runner up for county” in the year prior. Besides being an amazing and hardworking team, the cross-country athletes make sure their environment is acceptable for newcomers. Tina Goettelmann says, “What I like most about Cross Country is the team because I have made many new friends.” The Coach of the team, Coach Mitchell, says his team has acquired new athletes, like Joseph Schiro, that have helped the team improve in their rankings. The Cross-Country team has had an amazing season record with multiple wins and district/regional advances and it is sad to see their season slowly come to an end.
