      Although this sounds like a confusing situation, SLU 101 makes it work. Student Leadership University is where student followers of Christ have the opportunity to not only strengthen their relationship with Jesus, but to also meet more than 400 other individuals from different states who share the same faith as them, learn how to defend their faith properly, and gain a 20-year head start on what it means to think, dream, and lead.  

     This 4-day adventure included amazing speakers such as Dr. Jay Strack, Brent Crowe, Pat Williams, and the famously known Dr. Sean McDowell. These incredible speakers delivered messages that applied to Christians, agnostics, and even Atheist and contained one central theme, how to be a leader like Jesus.  

     When asked about their experience at SLU 101, student Freshman, Amelie Nobel responded with “I had a beneficial time at SLU. Not only did the conference help enhance leadership skills, but it was also fun to have time to spend growing closer to friends and going on rides at the theme parks. I recommend this conference to anyone who is able to go because it is certainly life changing in many different aspects.” Amelie was not the only student to feel this way, Junior, Genesis Rapalo, shared “It was an amazing experience, each session was filled with so much truth and great advice that I will definitely use.” 

     During this conference, students were exposed to theological books written by the speakers, such as “Is God Just a Human Invention?” and “Ten Steps to Your Best Life” which students were also able to get most of them signed. SLU 101 also provided students with a reading list of books to read before the other sessions.
